History
The history of Loddon dates back to the year 1042 or 1043 as it was included in the will of Ælfric Modercope. He divided his land holdings which included Loddon among the bishops in St. Benet of Holme, Ely and Bury. About 450 acres of Loddon was owned by Modercope. It was in 1961 when the Parish Council chose Ælfric as the town sign and this was symbolised by a bronze statue which remains up to this day on Farthing Green.

Farthing Green House
This red brick house is a landmark in Loddon and was constructed in mid 18th century is included in the list of buildings of historic and architectural interest. At present, it is used as offices for the District Council. This is a three-story structure with brick pilasters.
Watermill
The Loddon watermill is an 18th century watermill with the river diverted below it and can be found near the town centre. Although this is not already operational, it is a significant landmark because it was a big help for the farmers and villagers for the power it supplied. The Loddon water mill was also referred to as Chedgrave mill and recorded to be one of the first buildings erected in the town.
Holy Trinity Church
This church was said to have been built in 1490 to replace a Norman church and is located in the town centre. Inside the structure are Edwardian pews and table-top tombs. It is also adourned with an ancient poor-box and a panel on a painted rood screen of a boy martyr who was said to have been crucified in the 12th century. Its exterior is also evident of flintwork.
