Flower Delivery to New Ferry with Clare Florist

Located on the Wirral Peninsula in England, New Ferry is part of the Bromborough Ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral within the English county of Merseyside. The name of the town came about through very simple and obvious means, as a ferry service travels to the neighboring settlement of Rock Ferry. 1774 was the earliest point at which “New Ferry” has been mentioned according to records, but it was probably referred to by the name for some time before that date. The ferry service was a useful form of transportation for many years, even as early as the 14th century. Fishermen were some of the first to operate ferries as a way to earn money. In 1922 the ferry service came to a sudden halt, however, when a ship crashed into the New Ferry Pier due to a heavy fog, and after this point the ferry service never reopened.

New Ferry acted as something of a tourist resort during the 1860s-1920s. There was a building called Great Eastern Pub in addition to the Great Eastern Picnic Hotel and it dated back to 1862. It was a
popular place for day-trippers who were traveling to and from Liverpool by ferry. Coincidentally, the year 1888 brought the destruction of the SS Great Eastern, a famous ship. Because of the connection between the Great Eastern Picnic Hotel and the SS Great Eastern, the owner of the pub decided to buy the ship's scrap parts, including its bar. Unfortunately these artifacts were removed in the mid 2000s.  New Ferry is located between London and Birkenhead off of the main road A41. It is also adjacent to Port Sunlight Village which happens to be Wirral's largest tour attraction. New Chester Road was once a toll road, and this resulted in the centre of town coming by the name Toll Bar area. New Ferry provides some of the most affordable and diverse housing real estate on Wirral. The community consists of a great variety of housing, from the traditional and modern terraces and homes, as well as
Victorian mansions.

A haven for quality shopping, New Ferry has a number of small retailers as well as the renowned Wirral Farmer's Market. There is a football club called the New Ferry Wirral Hotel Football club which
meets on Sundays at the New Ferry Park to engage in home matches. One of New Ferry's biggest attractions is the New Ferry Butterfly Park, which takes up about 5 hectares. The park is run by volunteers and it is open to visitors on Sundays during the summer; it is dedicated to being an Area of Special Biological Interest. The Port Sunlight River Park was once a landfill but it was transformed
into a beautiful community park, equipped with a freshwater lake and radiant, natural scenery.

Whether you are interested in history or lovely nature, New Ferry is a nesting ground for hidden treasures. What comes to mind when you think of parks and butterflies more than New Ferry flowers
