Laverton is a tiny village located in the district of Tewkesbury, in the county of Gloucestershire, England. In 2010 it’s estimated there were about 224 permanent residents. This village is located near the larger village of Buckland, and shares its civil parish. It has quaint farmhouses built of local Cotswold stone. These farmhouses date back to the 17th century. The village is connected to the Honeybourne railway line, which ends at Laverton Halt.
Notable features in the village include Laverton Hill, which is a part of the limestone quarries that used to be in operation. Laverton Hill is part of an escarpment made of Cotswold stone. It runs from Broadway to Winchcombe, and is also a part of the Cotswold Way National Trail.
Walkers and joggers can enjoy the use of a long distance path that goes through the village of Laverton. Winchcombe Way is popular with local residents and visitors.
The rail line originally ran between 1905 and 1960, before it was shut down. This was part of the Great Western Railway line. Recently, in 2012, the rail line was brought back in use by the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. This is a rail line that restores heritage steam railways. Its northern terminus is at Laverton. By 2013, trains ran from Laverton to Cheltenham Racecourse. In the future, the line will extend to Broadway Worcestershire.

Top Farmhouse and stable is also from the 17th century, and has a slate stone roof. The stable has a thatched roof and dates to around the 15th century.
A 1935 designed red painted telephone kiosk is also listed as a protected structure in the village,
