These are all good answers. But another oft overlooked reason to send flowers is simply this: "just because." Sometimes you don't need a particular reason to brighten a loved one's day with a captivatingly colourful bouquet, "just because" is reason enough. It could be for a dear friend or relative you haven't seen in a while, a small gesture to let them know you are thinking of them. Or maybe you want to surprise your significant other; the occasional romantic gesture such as sending flowers out of the blue is a nice way of reminding them how much they mean to you and helping to keep romance alive in the relationship.
And you don't need to wait until Mother's Day or Father's Day to gift mum and dad with flowers! No matter the season a bouquet is always a lovely gift, especially if you live far away from your parents.
