Today is Friday the 13th! Have you ever heard of tfriggatriskaidekaphobia? That is the name of the phobia people have of Friday the 13th. Whilst we don't have any spooky going-ons to report, we thought it would be fun to list some of our favourite Friday the 13th inspired facts
- One of the earliest references to Friday the 13th was found in the 1869 biography of the composer Rossini, who died on the Friday of the 13th of November, 1868
- Every year so far has a Friday the 13th, with 3 Friday the 13ths being the highest in one year
- Finnish Research has shown that there are more female traffic audiences on this day that on any other Friday throughout the year.
- The 13th of any month is much more likely to fall on a Friday more than another day that week
- In all the 12 Friday the 13th movies, 200 characters have died
- Over 60 million people in the world say that they are affected by Friday the 13th, with some of them not driving, going to work or even getting out of bed on this day
- Many hospitals don't have a room 13, and airports don't have or use a Gate 13
