International Women’s Day falls on this Sunday the 8th of March. Each year, a different theme is announced with hashtags to spread awareness on social media. This year’s International Women’s Day theme has been revealed as #EachforEqual with the mission statement reading “an equal world is an enabled world.”
We all have to do our part to take a stand against bias and promote gender equality. Be sure to check out the International Women’s Day website to find out how you can get involved, whether by participating in an event, downloading social media assets, or gaining access to library or school resources for your community.
Last year’s theme, “Balance for Better”, saw people taking to social media and striking the #BalanceforBetter pose to help promote awareness. This year we can all play our part by embracing the Each for Equal pose to amplify the message of gender equality across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
